For greater participation of our supporters in the financial resilience and sustainability of Birzeit University, and to reduce instability in the face of political and economic situations, there emerged a growing need for endowment capital for Birzeit University.
In 2013, the endowment of BZU was launched to regenerate funds for Birzeit University and work towards ensuring a sustainable source of support to our mission of teaching and learning.
The current endowed giving totals to $15 million and the goal is to increase it to $30 million in 2021 and $50 million in 2024. The grand goal is $100 million in endowment capital by the end of 2029.
Your investment matters. You can always keep it centered to your passion because when you give to endowment you can also channel funding to:
- Classroom enhancements;
- Laboratory equipment;
- Technological upgrades;
- Empowering art, music, and athletics programs;
- Cutting- edge academic discipline and research;
Endowed giving also offers a variety of naming opportunities, such as:
- Named endowed professorships,

With your endowed giving, you support Birzeit University in responding to emerging urgent needs while maintaining financial flexibility. Together we can move mountains!
