This year, Ramadan comes amid harsh circumstances, including ongoing genocide, displacement policies affecting Jerusalem, refugee camps, and Palestinian villages, along with movement restrictions in the West Bank, and a deepening economic crisis. These challenges have directly affected our students and added extra burdens on their families, making it harder to secure basic needs and continue their education.
In response, and in line with Birzeit University’s commitment to supporting its students, we are launching our annual “Ramadan Campaign” in partnership with the university’s supporters, friends, and alumni. The campaign provides scholarships to orphaned and financially vulnerable students, as well as those from refugee camps and forcibly displaced communities, ensuring their continued access to education while safeguarding their dignity.
In this blessed month, we warmly invite you to join us in supporting this vital campaign and enabling our students to complete their academic journey despite these extraordinary challenges.
Each contribution creates a meaningful and lasting impact in the lives of our students, helping to sustain their educational journey and reaffirming our shared commitment to building a more just and hopeful future for Palestine.
